Buzzsonic Media is a small low key digital media start up based in Southwest Florida in the sunbaked paradise that is Cape Coral, close to the Gulf of Mexico. Cape Coral is not LA or New York safe to say, not a lot happens here unless you like to fish though we’re hoping to create something more ‘international’ here eventually.
We’re developing a few ideas right now one of which is a niche Florida travel directory, iExploreFlorida which is a mix of Florida related travel and visitor resources and news feeds. There’s a Florida news site Floridr.com on its way too.
We’re planning similar niche area travel sites including Englandr.com and iExploreSpain.com.
What else? We have a record label, Buzzsonic Records too. Helping independent artists get international exposure.
Our first signing is the 99th Floor Elevators who had some national chart success in the 90s in the UK but are enjoying something of a revival in Europe right now with a bunch or remixes we have licensed in the UK and a thriving MySpace ‘fanclub’.
A remix CD and iTunes distribution has recently been established. We have already licensed the artist to a number of high profile CD compilations in Europe and digital distribution for that territory is already underway.
Our other main niche directory is the ‘Musicbiz 2.0′ industry search directory Buzzsonic.dj. Plain and simple, if you’re looking for music industry resources online this is the place to start, with 3000+ hand selected resources to help you on your way if you’re an artist, band, label or DJ.
You’ll find links on where to get vinyl pressed, where to get it distributed and where to get your music on iTunes as well. The database is updated weekly and we’ll be adding more interactive elements asap.
The latest project is MusicFizzlr.com which should appear in May 2008 and is a music RSS news feed aggregator.
